Shashlik pot from the oven – hearty, juicy & full of oven love
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F), so it’s nice and hot when everything is ready.
Cut the meat into bite-sized cubes. Also chop the bell pepper and onion into pieces, however you like them best.
Heat the oil in a large pot or Dutch oven and sear the meat on all sides. Season it right away with paprika powder, salt, pepper, and cumin to give it lots of flavor.
Add the onion and garlic, and sauté briefly until fragrant.
Now add the chopped bell pepper. Stir everything well so the flavors combine.
Pour the tomato sauce over the mixture and stir again until everything is evenly coated.
Cover the pot or Dutch oven with a lid and place it in the oven for about 45 minutes.
Before serving, sprinkle fresh herbs—like parsley—on top, and enjoy your shashlik pot straight from the oven while it’s still hot. Bon appétit!
