How to Clean Your Washing Machine with White Vinegar

White vinegar is an effective, affordable, and natural cleaner for your washing machine. Regular cleaning not only keeps it fresh but also extends its life. Here’s how to use it.

How Often Should You Clean?
Light use (1–2 washes per week): Clean once a month.

Heavy use: Clean every 2 weeks.

Step 1 – Clean Removable Parts
Remove the detergent drawer, lint filter, and any other detachable parts.

Wash them with a sponge and mild detergent.

Wipe with a cloth dipped in white vinegar for extra disinfection.

Remove hair, lint, and debris from the filter screen.

Step 2 – Clean the Drum with Vinegar
Option 1 – Vinegar Only:

Run a normal cycle at a standard temperature.

Add white vinegar to the detergent compartment.

Option 2 – Vinegar + Baking Soda:

Let the machine fill with water.

Add 2 tablespoons baking soda mixed with water into the detergent tray.

This removes deep residue and odors.

After cleaning, leave the door open to air-dry.
